Lunora uses the Aladhan API to calculate accurate prayer times based on the city and country you select during setup. The calculations follow well-established astronomical methods. We recommend verifying with your local mosque if exact precision is critical for your area.
Absolutely. All period tracking data — including cycle dates, mood entries, and symptom records — is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage. The data is never sent to any server, never synced to the cloud, and never shared with anyone. You have complete control over your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling Lunora will permanently delete all your data, including notes, duas, gratitude entries, and period tracking records. We recommend saving any important information before uninstalling.
Period Mode is a thoughtful feature that adapts your spiritual practice during your menstrual cycle. When activated, the app adjusts the available content — offering curated dhikr, duas, and self-care content while respectfully managing prayer-related features. You can also track your mood and symptoms privately throughout your cycle.
Most features work offline, including Quran reading, saved duas, notes, gratitude journal, and period tracking. However, prayer times require an initial internet connection to fetch data from the Aladhan API for your location. Once loaded, cached prayer times remain available offline.
