The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device:
- Period tracking data — Cycle dates, mood entries, and symptom records
- Personal notes — Any notes you create within the app
- Gratitude notes — Entries in your gratitude journal
- Custom duas — Personal duas you save
- App preferences — Your settings and customizations
- Reading progress — Quran bookmarks and reading history
1.3 Analytics Data We Collect
To improve app performance and user experience, we use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to collect the following anonymous data:

The information you provide is used solely to deliver the app's core functionality:
- Name — Displayed in personalized greetings (e.g., "Assalamu Alaikum, [Name]")
- City and Country — Sent to the Aladhan API to calculate accurate prayer times for your location
- Analytics Data — Used to improve app stability, fix bugs, and understand feature usage
3. Third-Party Services
Lunora uses the following third-party services:
- Aladhan API (aladhan.com) — To fetch accurate prayer times based on your city and country. Only your city and country are sent to this service.
- CountryStateCity API — To provide a comprehensive list of countries and cities for location selection. No personal data is sent to this service.
- Firebase Analytics (Google Firebase) — To collect anonymous usage analytics for app improvement. Data is not linked to your identity.
- Firebase Crashlytics — To collect crash reports and improve app stability. Data is not linked to your identity.
We do not use any advertising SDKs or share data with advertisers.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously, especially sensitive health information:
- Encrypted storage — Period tracking data and other sensitive health information is stored using encrypted local storage on your device
- On-device only — All personal data (notes, duas, period data, gratitude entries) is stored exclusively on your device
- No cloud sync — Your personal data is not synced to any cloud service or remote server
- No backups to our servers — We never receive or store copies of your personal data
Important: Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app will permanently delete all your personal data. We recommend backing up any important notes before uninstalling.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties. Anonymous analytics data is processed by Firebase (Google) solely for app improvement purposes and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
Lunora does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is intended for use by individuals who can independently manage their spiritual practices.
7. Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)
Since your personal data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:
